The initial aftermath
The biggest surprise was how sticky the cutting mat was. Despite the label saying "LightGrip" it was a bit challenging to get paper off it without tearing. I had to print out multiple calibration sheets because I couldn't just peel it off the mat to readjust without damaging it. I tried putting some paper under the sticker page at one point but the blade moved the sticker page around hence why the cutting mat has to be sticky. I saw that they have a tool for this, but I'll stick with a butter knife.
There's also the software which took me a bit to get the hang of. As you can see from the picture above, my first sticker sheet made with Cricut's software isn't completely filled. Not to mention you'll frequently see things locked behind a pay wall including text-warping.
I did eventually manage to make a decent batch of stickers.
Overall, if you're into sticker making, getting a Cricut is an excellent alternative to cutting them out by hand, but it does take a bit of learning and trial and error.
